Girls Varsity Bowling fall to Forest Hills Central High School

Eagles Lose: 2.00 - 28.00
The Girls Varsity Bowlers wrapped up their regular match season away against Forest Hills Central on Wednesday.  Very tough lanes conditions produced low scores as our Eagle Girls Varsity Bowlers fell to the Rangers 2-28.  While most of the individual matches were quite close, the pins just didn't seem to fall our way.  Greta Holman out shot her opponent in the regular matches to take our opponent taking her points in the loss.  Way to keep trying.  The Girls will complete the Confernce Season on Saturday at the OK White Post Season Conference tournament at Park Center Lanes at 9 am.

Eagles Lose: 15.00 - 15.00
Monday we honored our graduating senior bowlers at our last Conference home match of the season for the Boys Bowing.  Congratulation Sarah Wang.   The Girls Varsity Bowlers jumped to an early lead in their match against Forest Hill Central by winning the first Baker Game.  The Rangers rallied in the second baker game to take the lead 6-4.  The Eagles battled back in the first regular games with Greta Holman, Chloe Pegman, and Kendall Vander Ploeg taking their point to retake the lead 11-8.  Despite LIly Vander Velde and Zion Kwon contributing individual points in second regular games and taking total pins the evenly match teams tied 15-15.  The Girls final regular Conference match is Wednesday 2/14/24 at  AMF Lanes.

Eagles Lose: 2.00 - 28.00
The Varsity Girls Bowlers took on a strong Byron Center Girls team on Wednesday.  During the Baker games our Girls could not find a line to find the pocket and we were not converting our spares, this coupled with strong shooting by Byron Center, lead to a 10 point deficit after the Baker games.  The Bulldogs continued to press to sweep first regular game.  The girls were able to pull out a couple points in the second regular game with Greta Holman shooting 151 and Kendall Vander Ploeg shooting 165.  Way to stay at it girls!  The next match is February 12, 2024 at 3:30 where we will celebrate our graduating Seniors.

Eagles Lose: 11.00 - 19.00
The Girls Varsity Bowler took to the lanes against Greenville on Monday.  The Yellow Jackets jumped to an early lead by snatching the first Baker game to lead the match 4-0.  Our Eagles rallied to take the second Baker but came up just short of taking Baker total as they entered the regular games.  Greenville never looked back as our Girls struggled to convert their spares in the first regular game.  Zion Kwon, Greta Holman, and Kendall Vander Ploeg each took their point in the second regular game.  Greenville took the match 19-11  Nice games by Greta Holman shooting 146 and Kendall Vander Ploeg with at strong 180.

Eagles Win: 18.00 - 12.00
The Girls Varsity Bowlers got off to a slow start on Wednesday against Forest Hills Northern when the Huskies took at 10-0 lead by sweeping the Baker.  With Greta Holman, Lily Vander Velde, Stella Sheldon, and Kendall Vander Ploeg each taking points in the first regular game the girls pulled the score to a much closer 11-8.   The girls kept up the pressure in the second regular game with Chloe Pegman adding to the scoring as well to close out the match with a very nice 18-12 win.  Great come back girls.

Eagles Lose: 7.00 - 23.00
Despite the final score appearing to show a lopsided win, our Eagles Girls Bowlers fell to the Red Arrows from Lowell in a very tight competition.  Each of the first Baker games were so close being decided by less than 15 pins.  The Girls struggled to cover their spares in the regular games, however Greta Holman and Chloe Pegman were able capture their individual points in the first regular game to take the regular game total pins.  Sarah Wang added in an additional point in the second regular game in the loss.  The Girls next match is against Forst Hills Northern on Wednesday at Park Center Lanes at 3:30 PM.  Keep up the good work girls.

Eagles Win: 26.00 - 4.00
The Eagles Girls Bowler competed against the Pioneers Girls from East Grand Rapids on Wednesday.   Our Eagles jumped to an early 10-0 by sweeping the Baker games.  The girls kept up the pressure by taking 3 individual point in the first regular game plus game total to push the lead to 17-2.  Greta Holman put together a nice set of games taking her two individulat points shootin 128, 129.  The girls went on to win the match 26-4.  Nice job Girls.  The next match for the Eagle girls is Monday January 29, 2024 at 3:30 PM at Park Center Lanes against Lowell HS.

Eagles Lose: 3.00 - 27.00
The Girls Varsity Bowling Team returned to the lanes for competition after a long Holiday and Winterim Break to compete against Northview HS. Despite close games in the Bakers, the Wildcats jumped to an early lead by sweeping the Baker games taking a 10-0 lead.  Our Eagles pushed to rally back in the first regular game with Greata Holman and Kendall Vander Ploeg taking their points shooting 125 and 155 respectively .  Greta chipped in one more point in the second regular game in the 3-27 loss.  The next competition is Wednesday Jan, 24, 2024, at 3:30 PM vs East Grand Rapids at Cliques Lanes.

Eagles Lose: 3.00 - 27.00
The Eagles Girls Varsity Bowling team lost to a solid Byron Center Bulldogs Girls team on Wednesday.  Our Eagles went toe to toe with the Bulldogs to start out the Baker games, but the Bulldogs came on strong in the second Baker game to take a 10-0 lead.  Stella Sheldon got the Eagle on the board in the first regular game shooting 139.  Greta Holman and Kendall Vander Ploeg each contributed an additional point in the second regular game.  Great effort on the lanes today!  The Eagles next contest is Jan 20, 2024 in the Zeeland All-Baker Tournament.

Eagles Lose: 4.00 - 26.00
The Girls Bowling Varsity Bowing team competed against The Yellow Jackets from Greenville on Monday.  Our Eagles fell to the Yellow Jackets in a match with several very close games.  Our Eagles fell  to an early 10-0 deficit by taking the dropping the Baker games and Baker total.   Chloe Pegman and Greta Holman each contributed at point during the first Baker games with the rest of the girls just missing the mark dropping the first regular game by a mere 5 pins.  Greta Holman and Kendall Vander Ploeg each won their final game in the loss to Greenville.  Keep up the good work, Girls.  The Girls take on Byron Center on December 20 at Park Center Lanes.

Eagles Win: 25.00 - 5.00
The Girls Varsity Team played well on Wednesday afternoon.  The girls took a quick and dominate 10-0 lead by sweeping the Baker games.  The girls sealed up the win in the first regular game by adding on 6 more points by  Zion Kwon and Kendall Vander Ploeg (180) taking their individual matches and first game total..  Our Eagles Girls Varsity Bowlers went tagged on 9 more points in the second regular game to win the match 25-5.   Keep up the great work Girls.

Eagles Win: 19.00 - 10.00
The Girls Varsity Bowlers took to the lanes at home vs East Grand Rapids HS on Monday afternoon.  Our Eagles Girls jumped to an early lead by sweeping the Baker Games earning the girls a 10-0 lead going into the regular games.  Solid play by Chloe Pegman and Zion Zwon(142) with Greta Holman and Kendall Vander Ploeg each chipping in a point during the first game secured the match. The girls continued to push on during the second regular game for a 20-0 win.  Great job Girls!

Eagles Lose: 3.00 - 27.00
The Eagle Bowler Girls lost in the regular season opener against the Northview Wildcats  27-3.  The Eagles came to the match ready to compete.  Even though the score shows a lopsided win by Northview, it was really a very close match.  The Girls fought through the Baker games but Northview jumping to a quick 10-0 lead by taking both Baker games by less than 20 pins per game.  Greta Holman and Stella Sheldon put the Eagles on the board first by taking both of their individual matches in the first regular game.  Greta chipped in an additional win in the second regular game.  Great job by all of the girls as several of the matches were within 10 pins.  Go Eagles!

Eagles Win: 27.00 - 3.00
The Eagles Girls Bowling Team rolled the Forest Hills Husky team in a strong showing on Monday.  The Eagles girls jumped to an early 7-1 lead in the first regular game.  Our Eagle girls kept pressing on in the second regular game by adding on 7 more points in the second regular game.  The Eagles went on to sweep the Baker games for a the strong win 27-3.  Nice shooting by Stella Sheldon and Sarah Wang resulted in them taking both of their regular game points.  Great job Girls!
