#2 - NIYA COUCH
Parents: Garrett and Jennifer Couch
Niya has played 3 years of Varsity lacrosse at GRCHS; with 1 year off due to COVID, serving as acVarsity Captain for 1 year. An excellent low attack player, Niya’s hard work and powerful shotchave earned her recognition as an All-Conference player and All-State Honorable Mention in 2021. Her favorite lacrosse memories are “Halle scoring the game-winning goal against Cal on Senior night. And trying to get Coach Sam a boyfriend the whole season.” Niya will be attending Aquinas College next year with plans to study Business and Sport Management as well as play lacrosse.
Her favorite verse is Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
#5 - LAUREN WARNER
Parents: Craig and Diane Warner
Lauren has played 3 years of lacrosse at GRCHS (with 1 year off due to COVID) 2 years on JV, and 1 year on Varsity. Lauren has been a great motivating force on the team, committing to be wherever the team needed her to be, whether that was splitting time between Varsity and JV or playing positions she hasn’t been accustomed to. Her favorite lacrosse memory, “Scoring my first goal freshman year.” Lauren will be attending the University of Michigan this fall with plans to study Chemistry.
Her favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 41:10, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
# 6 - MADISON WOLTERS
Parents: Dave and Sarah Wolters
Madison finishes her lacrosse career at GRCHS having played 3 years of lacrosse (with 1 year off due to COVID): 2 years on JV, and one year on Varsity. A ready and willing defender, Madison has been a hard worker and consistent contributor to the team wherever needed, including being willing to split her time between Varsity and JV. Her favorite lacrosse memory is her first time starting the JV game after learning how to play. Madison will be attending Michigan State University this fall with plans to study engineering.
Her favorite Bible verse is Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance of what we do not see.”
#7 - ELLIE DENDULK
Parents: Kevin and Peri denDulk
Ellie finishes her lacrosse career at GRCHS having played 3 years of Varsity lacrosse (with 1 year off due to COVID). Ellie brings fun and spunkiness to the team with her stick guitar, and stick microphone off the field, and her focused determination protecting the goal on the field. Her favorite lacrosse memory is, “dancing in the locker room before games and getting hype!” Ellie will be attending Calvin University this fall with an undecided major, and is considering playing lacrosse.
Her favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11 “'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'"
#11 - LEAH STRANSKY
Parents: Trew and Caryn Stransky
Leah has played 3 years of lacrosse at GRCHS (with 1 year off due to COVID): 1 year on JV, and 2 years on Varsity, serving as a Varsity Captain for 1 year. Leah’s quiet, can-do mentality combined with her solid presence defending down low has made her a presence to be reckoned with on the field. Her favorite lacrosse memory is, “being on such a fun team and the pregame locker room times.” Leah will be attending the University of Arizona this fall to study Marketing and Graphic Design.
Her favorite Bible verse is John 16:33, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
#15 - RYLEE SIGLER
Parents: Irv and Erin Sigler
Rylee has played 3 years of Varsity lacrosse at GRCHS (with 1 year off due to COVID) serving as Varsity Captain for 1 year. An up-beat, skilled, and fast defender, she has shut down countless attackers, particularly in 1 v 1 situations. Her passion and tenacity have helped fuel the team to reach new levels of play. Her favorite memory is, “Having our pre-game dance parties.” Rylee will be attending Wheaton College studying Business and Graphic Design as well as joining the club lacrosse team.
Her favorite verse is Psalm 46:10: He says, “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."
#19 - SARA MUIR
Parents: Bill and Cathy Muir
Sara has played 3 years of lacrosse at GRCHS (with 1 year off due to COVID) 2 years on JV (one as team manager), and 1 year on Varsity. With a “team over me” attitude, she has shown her mentality as a team player—regularly playing where she was needed to support our GRCHS teams, splitting her time between Varsity and JV. Her favorite memory is “being able play with some amazing people and getting to know people that I wouldn’t otherwise have known.” Sara will be attending Hope College in the fall to study business and pre-law as well as play golf.
Her favorite verse is 1 Corinthians 13:12: “For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.”
#30 - LILI BOUWMA
Parents: Ric and Chris Bouwma
Lili played 3 years of Varsity lacrosse at GRCHS (with one year off to due to COVID), serving as a Varsity Captain for 1 year. A skilled low attack player, Lili can always be counted on to handle the ball around the crease and “go to goal” or make an accurate feed depending on the game’s needs. Lili has been recognized for her efforts being named Team MVP her junior year as well as being awarded All-Conference and Second Team All-State in2021. Her favorite lacrosse memory is, “Celebrating my 100th career goal with my team because they are the reason I got there.” Lili will attend Anderson University in South Carolina next year with a plan to study Education, as well as play as a part of their inaugural lacrosse team.
Her favorite verse is 1 Peter 5:7 "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
