Varsity volleyball goes 1-1 in Saturday tri

The Eagles played Coopersville and Byron Center in a tri on Saturday. In their first match against Coopersville the Eagles won all 3 sets. The scores were 25-18,25-9 and 25-16. Stat leaders for the match were Addie VanderWeide with 20 kills, 1 ace , 1 block and 12 digs, Lauren Peal with 17 digs and 2 aces, Stephanie Stewart with 8 kills, 1 ace and 3 digs, Alyssa DeVries with 35 assists and 9 digs and Evie Doezema with 7 kills, 1 ace, 1.5 blocks and 6 digs, In their second match of the day the Eagles lost to Byron Center in 3 sets. The scores were 25-22,23-25 and 15-12. Stat leaders for the match were Addie VanderWeide with 23 kills, 3 aces, 1.5 blocks and 10 digs, Evie Doezema with 7 kills and 1 dig, Alyssa DeVries with 33 assists, 7 digs, 1 block and 1 ace, Lauren Peal with 16 digs and 4 assists, Stephanie Stewart with 6 kills, 1 ace, 1 block and 2 digs and Emerson Williams with 9 dig. The Eagles are now 21-3 and will play Lowell in the conference finals at home on Tuesday night.
