NORTHVIEW HIGH SCHOOL: 51
The Eagles were home facing the Wildcats of Northview for a potential conference championship. The Eagles got off to a decent start ending the 1st quarter down a 14 -12. The Eagles needed their defense to step up in 2nd quarter but their defensive lapses allowed the Wildcats to take a halftime lead 29 - 23.
In the second half, the Eagles came out and made some adjustments and held the Wildcat's to 6 points in the 3rd quarter while scoring12 points themselves. The game would be tied going into the 4th quarter. Both teams would make some big plays in the 4th quarter. The Eagles would have a final chance to tie the game up from the free throw line but missed the opportunity. The Wildcats would go on to win with a final score of 51 - 49.
Dono Thames lead the way with 13 points. Junior Jaylan Ouwinga added 12 points. The Eagles will be at home Tuesday against the Forest Hills Central Rangers. The Eagles move to 15-5 on the year.
