Boys Varsity Golf Wins Regionals @ Diamond Springs

On a very hot and dry day at Diamond Springs Golf Course the Eagles played solid golf and were able to come out on top, winning the Region 8 championship. The Eagles shot a 296 on their way to qualifying for the State Finals to be held on June 9 & 10 at The Fortress in Frankenmuth. Also advancing as a team was second place finisher South Christian with a 323 and third place Unity Christian with a 327.
Pacing the Eagles was excellent play by junior Max O'Grady (72 - T1 overall) and sophomore John Cassiday (72 - T1 overall). Also scoring for the Eagles was junior Dylan Clark with a 75 (4th place overall) and freshman Cooper Reitsma with a 77 (T5 overall).
Two years ago, the Eagles finished 7th overall at the State Finals, and last year finished 4th. We hope to improve on that this year with great play and fun weekend. Go Eagles!
