Girls Varsity Golf vs. Multiple Opponents

The GRCHS girls varsity golf team tied for first place at their first OK White jamboree on Wednesday evening. Our Eagles team tied EGR with each team shooting a team score of 182 at a very beautiful but very tough Egypt Valley Country Club. The team was led by senior Sara Muir who fired an excellent 4 over par 40, which featured her playing the last 4 holes in 1 under par. Sophomores Halle Couch and Alex VerMeulen each shot very good 46's and senior Taylor Dykhouse rounded out the team's 4th score with a solid 50. Seniors Niya Couch and JoJo Burgess each fired a solid 52 in the team effort.
It was a very good first OK White event for the Eagles golf team, but we know there are areas of our game that can be improved and strokes to be saved on the course, so we're looking forward to continued improvement through the second half of the season! The Eagles play next on Friday at a Kenowa Hills 18 hole invitational tournament.
