The Eagles Varsity team traveled to Catholic Central for the first day back from spring break. The Cougars came out and applied pressure forcing saves from Eagles keeper Olivia May. Trading blows right back Eagles winger Emma VanGoor was able to get in behind the defense on multiple occasions but unable to find the final ball to hit the back of the net. The Cougars scored on a long range shot mid way through the first half. Closing out the half, Grand Rapids Christian piled on the pressure but were unable to score before the halftime whistle.

The second half saw much of what happened in the first half. The Cougars came out and pressured the ball making the Eagles defend through the central channel. A hectic corner kick proved to be a downfall as the Cougars scrambled to get the last touch on the ball and hit the back of the net. In the closing minutes of the game the Eagles had pressed the home team back and saw multiple near chances that just missed their mark. In the end the clock wasn't on the away teams side as the final whistle blew at 2-0.

The Eagles will be back in action Wednesday April 13th as they host Forest Hills Northern at Gainey Athletic Complex @ 6:15PM
