FOREST HILLS NORTHERN HIGH: 0
The Varsity Girls Soccer team broke a multi-year drought against Forest Hills Northern with a 1-0 win last night! The sole goal came in the first half with a strong cross from Emma Van Goor that set up a shot attempt from Claire Hart that bounced to Julia Timmer who put the ball in the back of the net!
The Eagles held onto the lead throughout the remainder of the game as the Huskies piled on the pressure in the second half forcing saves by Eagles GK Olivia May. The back line held firm, led by senior Jessica Larsen, until the final whistle.
The Eagles head down to Portage Northern this Saturday where they have back to back games at 12:30 and 2PM against Portage Northern and Vicksburg respectively.
