SOUTH CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL: 6
It was a well fought game between the Sailors and the Eagles where the score yet again doesn%u2019t tell the true story of the game. The Sailors finished on a couple of sloppy shots in the first half. The Eagles controlled the ball throughout most of the game and created several chances in front of the goal. We were unable to find the back of the net until Emma VanGoor had a 1 on 1 in front of the goal, cut back to her right, and placed it in the upper right. 1-2 at halftime. We earned a penalty kick late in the second half where Kailynn Grieve uncharacteristically failed to slot it home. The Eagles conceded some simple goals and ended up falling behind 1-6. Overall solid performance for all of the girls in their last game of the regular season. Conference tournament starts next week as GRC hosts Lowell on Monday!
