The girls' second game was against Vicksburg, where the Eagles won their 4^th game of the season.

The Eagles got a bit of a wake-up call in the 5^th minute when a free kick was played directly through the middle and the Bulldog attacker lobbed it over GK Phoebe Craker's head.  But the Eagles fires back within 60 seconds with a goal of their own, built off a through ball from Freshmen Stella Sheldon to Emma VanGoor who crossed it to Julia Timmer for the tap-in from the 6.  Seniors LaRue and Aupperlee linked up on another chance 5 minutes later, to no avail.  More chances came to the Eagles freshmen Sheldon and Lydia Ydenberg, before Sheldon hit one upper 90 from 25 out to give the Eagles the lead.  Yet, the Eagles received another surprise a minute later when another long ball made its way through to their lone forward who managed to get past 3 defenders and slot the ball in the back of the net.

A fire was lit at halftime and the Eagles stepped foot on the field in the 2^nd half with a mission to dominate the remainder of the game.  The half opened right away with a great opportunity created off a through ball from Ydenberg to Aupperlee who found Timmer in the box, who just put it over the bar.  After several corners, a couple of shots from defenders Molly Hassenrik and Ava Barton, and an absolute bone crusher off the crossbar from LaRue... the 2^nd half scoring opened up with an absolute bender from VanGoor.  To finish it off, on the 9^th corner kick of the half, Kaitlynn Trook received a nice little bounce-back ball that she smashed right at the goal to make it 4-2.

A solid performance from the Eagles as we are now in the thick of our season's schedule!
