Boy's Varsity tennis looks to defend their Regional Title from 2018 and 4th place finish at the State Finals as they open their season this week.

The Eagles did not waste any time scheduling top competition for the Boy's Varsity Tennis Team, opening at the beautiful Midland Community Tennis Center against Division 2 Top 5 Ranked Midland Dow.  The Eagles took second at the Quad, finishing 22-5 on the day.  The Eagles fell to Midland Dow 5-3, and defeated Holly and Gibraltar Carlson 8-0.  5 Doubles also went 3-0 on the day.  

Overall there are a lot of moving parts in the lineup as the season begins as the team works out the lineup but making this year's varsity squad are the following Eagle Student-Athletes: Eli Kuiper, Jack Long, Devin Meeuwsen, Owen Greer, Daniel Betten, Alex Lowell, Grant Moorhead, Tanner Warners, Cade Boender, Charlie Walters, Ethan Deblecourt, Simon Volkema, Sam VanSchepen, and Alex Cook.  

Even though the team fell to Dow, a 5-3 result is a close loss against a very good Division 2 squad.  On the day, Eli Kuiper, Owen Greer, Daniel Betten, Tanner Warners, Alex Lowell, Cade Boender, Charlie Walters, and Ethan Deblecourt all went undefeated on the day.

The team continues its difficult opening schedule Thursday against a strong Division 3 filled field in Vicksburg Friday and likewise Saturday against division foes Holland Christian and Haslett.
