In a potential trap match with a pivotal matchup with East Grand Rapids looming, the Eagles would have nothing of it, dispatching the Trojans from Middleville in efficient fashion.  Simon Volkema, Alex Lowell and Alex Cook hammered their opponents at #1, #2 and #3 Singles respectively, losing only one game each.  Charlie Walters, playing in his first ever high school Singles match came out like a champ, winning the first set 6-3.  Then after falling behind in the second set 1-4, he rallied with his teammates watching and cheering, winning 5 straight games to close out the match.

Similar results on the doubles side with Tanner Warners and Grant Moorhead finishing TK off quickly 6-0, 6-0, at #1, while Eli Kuiper and Devin Meeuwsen won easily at #2  6-1, 6-1.  Daniel Betten and Sam VanSchepen showed determination in closing out some long rallies with winners and dispatched the Trojans 6-1 6-2 at #3.  The #4 doubles squad of Owen Greer and Cade Boender had equally impressive results, winning 6-1, 6-1.

With the Eagles traveling to EGR on Wednesday for a key OK Gold matchup, there is no rest, but guys are excited to be playing their best Tennis of the year so far and excited to embrace the struggle this next match will bring at each flight.
