At Grandville High School Saturday, the Eagles battled the host school as well as former City League opponent Catholic Central and Holt.

GRC met little opposition as they imposed their will on all three opponents, beating Grandville and Catholic Central 8-1 and keeping a clean slate against Holt, winning 9-0.

Highlights for the day included Simon Volkema, Alex Cook, Lucas Pinon and Callum Campbell running through their Singles opponents without a hiccup, although Lucas had to take care of his Holt opponent at 3-Singles by winning a tiebreaker after splitting the first two sets.

Tanner Warners/Dream Kwon handled 1-doubles all day, as did Cade Boender/Charlie Walters at 2-doubles.  Ethan DeBlecourt/Sam VanSchepen  won three matches at 3-doubles in dominating fashion.  Aaron Dorner, Luke Gelderloos, Isaiah Bos and Parker Seth handled the duties at 4 and 5 doubles, by mix and matching partners.

It is a HUGE week for the Eagles, beginning Monday against OK-White opponent East Grand Rapids at the Canepa courts of EGR (courts are on the corner of Lake Drive and Hall).
