Eagles Varsity starts off the week strong in a 13 - 8 win over Caledonia. Goals were scored by Niya Couch (4), Halle Couch (2), Lili Bouwma (2), Sophie Israels, Elizabeth Mehney, and Adia Sikkema. Attacker Lili Bouwma was credited with winning 7 draws and controlling 3. Halle Couch was credited with winning 3 draws and controlling 7, Niya Couch won 1 draws and controlled 1. Freshmen goalie Katie Hoeksema was credited with 5 saves. Defensive player of the game was Maggie Doyle for her outstanding work with 10 caused turnovers and 3 ground balls.. The team’s Ground Hog Award was split between junior Maggie Doyle and freshmen Halle Couch, each with 2 ground balls. With 5 assists Lili Bouwma was awarded the Laxister of the game. Way to go Eagles!!
