Eagles Varsity Girls’ Lacrosse - Eagles Varsity fought a tough battle against Midland Dow, but ultimately came up short, losing 8-24. Goals were scored by Niya Couch (3), Kiera Zylstra (2), Adia Sikkema, Lili Bouwma, and Elizabeth Mehney. Attacker Niya Couch was credited with winning 5 draws and controlling 4. Attacker Lili Bouwma was credited with winning 5 draws and controlling 1. Defensive player of the game was awarded to Leah Stransky for her work maintaining the ball and protecting the possession on clears. The team’s Ground Hog Award was given to Elizabeth Mehney with 3 ground ball on the game. With 1 assist each, Halle Couch, Maggie Doyle, and Elizabeth Mehney were awarded Laxisters of the game.
