Eagles Varsity Girls’ Lacrosse - In their first-round playoff seed, Eagles Varsity wraps up their season with a hard-fought loss to East Grand Rapids, trailing the Pioneers, 4-22. Goals were scored by Niya Couch (2), Lili Bouwma (1), and Sophie Israels. Attacker Lili Bouwma was credited with winning 6 draws. Freshman goalie Katie Hoeksema was credited with 5 saves. Defensive player of the game went to both defensive seniors, Katie Poel and Katie Winkle, both of whom had a phenomenal game. The team’s Ground Hog Award was awarded to Niya and Halle Couch with 3 ground balls each. With 2 assists, Niya Couch was named Laxister of the game. Congratulations on a great season Eagles!!
