Eagles Varsity sends everyone off on spring break with a win over Grandville, defeating them 15-6! Goals were scored by seniors Niya Couch (6), Lili Bouwma (5), and sophomores Adia Sikkema, Elizabeth Mehney, Halle Couch, and Maggie Doyle. Midfielder Halle Couch was credited with winning 10 and controlling 2 draws, and midfielder Elizabeth Mehney was credited with winning 4 draws and controlling 3. Defensive player of the game was awarded to Annelle for her 4 caused turnovers, 4 ground balls, and ball movement on the field. The team’s Ground Hog Award once again split, this time between Annelle Dykema and Halle Couch, each scooping up 4 ground balls over the course of the game. With 2 assists each, Adia Sikkema, Halle Couch, Lili Bouwma, and Niya Couch were awarded Laxisters of the game. Nice work Eagles!!
