SPRING LAKE HIGH SCHOOL: 8
Eagles Varsity played a tough game, eventually falling to Spring Lake 14-8. Goals were scored by senior attackers Niya Couch (4), Lili Bouwma (2), sophomore midfielders Halle Couch and Elizabeth Mehney. Draw specialist Halle Couch was credited with winning 11 draws and controlling 6, with sophomore midfielder, Adia Sikkema 3 draws. Sophomore goalie Katie Hoeksema was credited with no less than 11 saves, winning the award for Defensive Player of the Game. The team’s Ground Hog Award was awarded to Annelle Dykema as she tore up the field picking up 5 ground balls. With 1 assist each, Lili Bouwma and Halle Couch were awarded Laxisters of the Game. Good work Eagles!!
