Eagles Varsity overcomes the Chix of Zeeland East, winning 16-2! Goals were scored by senior Lili Bouwma (5), sophomore Elizabeth Mehney (2), Adia Sikkema, Emma Visser, Halle Couch, Katie Hoeksema, Lauren Warner, Maddie Christians, Niya Couch, Rachel Larsen, and Sara Muir. Midfielder Halle Couch was credited with winning 9 and controlling 6. Sophomore goalkeeper Katie Hoeksema was credited with 2 saves, and junior goalkeeper, Annika DeKraker was credited with 4 saves. Defensive player of the game was awarded to Adia Sikkema with 5 caused turnovers, and two ground balls. The team’s Ground Hog Award was split between Maddie Christians and Lauren Warner with 3 ground balls each. With 3 assists Niya Couch was awarded Laxister of the game. Well done Eagles!!
