For the second week in a row, the GR Christian football team battled the elements en route to a difficult OK-White conference loss. The visiting Yellow Jackets of Greenville High School spoiled the Eagle senior night celebration by using a bruising ground game to defeat the Eagles by a score of 35-13. 

Offense was hard to come by in the rain, but a trio of "Block C Backs" carrying the ball out of the Eagle backfield kept the offense moving - Zay Caviness, DeWayne Goree, and Tony Phillips all ran tough and determined. Zeke Heerema, Ethan Ogle, and Jude Klunder all registered multiple catches while Klunder and Caviness accounted for the Eagle scores - catching and running for touchdowns, respectively.

The "Black and Columbia Blue D" was led by senior linebackers Goree and Ben Geers - each accounting for 6 tackles. Aaron Gholston, Ethan Ogle, JR Jones, Zach Clark, Will Owens, and Davis Hutt were all active as well keeping the stat sheet packed with tackles. 

GR Christian will travel to Lowell this Friday to complete the regular season vs. the Red Arrows at 7:00 PM. Go Eagles!
