The Eagle Wrestlers started their season Thursday night by defeating Carson City- Crystal and Saranac. 

The Eagles first dual of the night was against Carson City- Crystal.  The Eagles won 57-24, their only losses being due to forfeits.  GRC wrestlers won all four of the matches that were wrestled. Senior, Luke Selfe had teh match of the dual by defeating his opponent 13-9 in a high scoring heavy weight match.  Other match winners were Jack Dietz (forfeit), Armand Arakaza (forfeit), Isaac Sung (forfeit), Harry Hilts (fall 3:25), Will Owens (fall 5:33), John Van Antwerp (forfeit), Michael Cool (forfeit), James Baker (forfeit), and Adam Persenaire (fall 1:43).

The Eagles competed extremely well their second dual defeating  Saranac 48-36.  Will Owens started out the dual with a pin in 4:32 seconds in a back and forth match.  Other winners against Saranac were John VanAntwerp (fall :23), James Baker (fall 3:20), Adam Persenaire (fall :42), Luke Selfe (fall :31), Armand Arakaza (fall :51), Isaac Sung (fall :17), and Harry Hilts (fall :40)
