The Eagles got off to a quick start in the first quarter. Swarming defense led to a first quarter lead 20-4. Keeping the same full court man to man press, the Eagles were well prepared for the Hawks offensive game plan. The Eagles did a better job this game on the defensive glass. At the half, the Eagle led 33-10. The second half the Eagles opened up the lead some more and didn't allow the Hawks to get into any rhythm. The Eagles brought a collective effort to beat the Hawks 66-35.
The Eagles were led by CJ Jones with 14 points and Gabe Vanderwoude with 13. The Eagles return to action Monday in a non conference game against Grand Rapids Union at home on Monday.
