Boys JV Soccer defeat Gull Lake

The JV Eagles had back to back games on Saturday with the second one against Gull Lake.
With legs starting to get more tired, this game was always going to be a challenge. However, the boys started extremely positive with balls being played to the games wingers of Arie Nol and Ty Erickson. A ball out to Arie 7 minutes into the game proved a catalyst. He beat his defender before playing the ball into Alberto Gimeno who was able to control nicely before spotting the run of Will Bush. The slotted ball was set up perfectly for Will to poke it into Gull Lakes goal for a 1-0 lead.
The Eagles continued to dominate possession and chances throughout the game with great work from wingers Gerrit Boer, Nate Evenhouse, Andrew Brink and Becket Nieuwenhuis constantly threatening Gull Lakes defenders. The defense held stout as well, with Jacob Brink, Eli Wise, and Mergen Shinetulga shutting down the opponents offense. Overall, a great day for the Eagles!
