The Eagles had a great showing at the Zeeland East Quad besting Catholic Central 5-1, Unity Christian 4-2 and Zeeland East 2-0 (ZE only had two complete doubles teams).  Our guys did a great job of weathering the moments when their opponents gained some momentum, and then competing to regain control. It was a beautiful day for tennis and highlight of the season for sure. We got Unity back at some of the flights that we. lost when we played them at the very start of the season.  This is an awesome result to see because it's clear evidence of growth for our players!

Some highlights from the day include Joel VanHekken and Derrick Jacobsen coming back against CC to win at 1 doubles 5-7, 6-3, 10-8,  Eli Compagner and Alex Amash winning at 2 doubles against ZE 6-2, 6-1, Caleb Nykamp and Nate Scheffler beating UC at 3 doubles 6-6 (7-5), 6-2, Caleb Westhouse and Connor Ryan winning against CC at 4 doubles 6-4, 6-2, BJ Apol and Bradley Buter beating UC at 5 doubles 6-3, 6-3, Jerry Zhang and Jake Mersman beating UC at 6 doubles 6-4, 6-3, Henry Snow and Jake Mersman beating CC at 6 doubles 6-1, 6-0.  The team is looking forward to their away match at Thornapple-Kellogg this afternoon.  Go Eagles!
