The Eagles played tough defense against the red arrows in game one, but fell short losing 1-11. Abbe Diemer took the loss on the mound. She surrendered 8 hits over 6 innings and struck out 6.
At the plate the Eagles struggled to get things going and adjust to the pitching. Lauren Holkeboer led the team going 2 for 3, using her speed to beat out a bunt for a hit. Also having one hit in the first game were Anna VanHeulen, Abbe Diemer, and Ellie VandeGriend.
