The Eagles bats started off right away in the top of the first, but fell quiet after that dropping the second game to Northview 15-1. Starting off in the top of the first Lauren Holkeboer found her way on base by forcing an error. Megan Hermen moved Holkeboer to second with a ground out. Next up, Bryleigh Anderson hit a double to the left center fence, scoring Holkeboer. Megan Hermen was the only other hit for the Eagles.
On defense, Ellie VandeGriend had 3 big catches in center field to hold the runners from advancing. On the mound, Holkeboer had the start and lasted 2.1 innings. She gave up 8 hits and only walked 1. Diemer came in for relief giving up 4 hits and walking 3. Ellie VandeGriend finished the game, giving up 2 hits, 1 walk, and 1 strikeout.
The Eagles face off against Northview again on Wednesday at home starting at 4:15 PM.
