NORTHVIEW HIGH SCHOOL: 16
The Eagles fell short in their third game against Northview, losing 16-1 in three innings. The Eagles held strong the first two innings, but gave up 7 runs in the 3rd inning. The mound was shared by Abbe Diemer, Ellie VandeGriend, and Lauren Holkeboer. Together they gave up 10 hits, 4 walks, and had 3 strikeouts.
At the plate the Eagles came out strong in the bottom of the first but struggled to get anything else going after that. The Eagles loaded up the bases with VandeGriend, Diemer, and Megan Hermen each with a hit. Up next, Bryleigh Anderson grounded out to the third baseman, scoring the only run of the game.
The Eagles next game is this Saturday at Cornerstone University. We face off against West Catholic at noon.
