In their third matchup against Byron Center, the Eagles lost 0-15. Abbe Diemer lasted 3 innings on the mound. She gave up 13 hits, struck out 1, and walked 1.
In the top of the first the Eagles defense held strong only allowing Byron Center three batters. Renee Prins made a catch in left field for the first out. Their #2 hitter made it on base from an error and then advanced to second. Byron Center's #3 hitter flew out to the warning track where Kijana Callwood made a great catch in center field. Callwood then doubled off Byron Center's runner at second to get the third out.
On offense the Eagles left 4 girls stranded, 3 in scoring position. Greta Vance and Abbe Diemer were the only two hits for the Eagles.
