The Eagles dropped game two vs Covenant 6-13, unable to maintain the offensive matchup at the plate and defensively missing out on a few opportunities.
Lauren Holkeboer started the game on the mound. She allowed 4 hits and 6 runs over 1 1/3 innings, striking out 2. Ellie VandeGriend came in for relief and lasted 3 2/3 innings. She allowed 10 hits and 7 runs, striking out 3. Jaslene McWilliams was the final Eagle on the mound that faced 3 batters and did not give up a hit or allow a run.
At the plate the Eagles had 6 hits. McWilliams again led the Eagles with 2 hits, 1 double and an RBI. Each having one hit were Keira Porte, Greta Vance, Abbe Diemer, and Ellie VandeGriend. Congratulations Abbe Diemer on her first career homerun! It was a 3 run homerun in the top of the 5th.
