The Eagles dropped game two 3-13. Ellie VandeGriend toed the mound for 5 batters before giving up 3 earned runs off of 2 hits. Abbe Diemer stepped back up to the mound for another 2.1 innings. She gave up 3 earned runs off of 9 hits, and had 1 strikeout. Rae Garcia finished it up giving up 1 earned run off of 2 hits, and had 1 strikeout.
At the plate the Eagles had 9 hits. Julia Geesin and Ellie VandeGriend led the offense both having 2 hits. Each having one hit were Rae Garcia, Keira Porte, Greta Vance, Lauren Holkeboer, and Abbe Diemer. Anna VanHeulen had a sacrifice bunt in the top of the 2nd to advance Keira Porte, who eventually scored 1 of the 3 runs for the Eagles.
The Eagles next game is at Byron Center vs their JV team at 4:00 PM this Thursday, May 11.
