POWERS CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL: 17
The Eagles came out fast in the season opener scoring 18 points in the first half while their pressure defense held the Chargers of Powers Catholic to only four points. The second quarter was much of the same as strong team defense set the pace. Kailynn Grieve's aggressive defense led to many fast break opportunities for her teammates.
In the second half, the Eagle's kept up their defensive effort and hustle diving for loose balls on both ends of the floor. Leah Stransky had the bench going wild with her and-one jump shot in the third quarter. All of the Eagles saw significant playing time with 11 of the 12 players making their way to the scoring column.
