UNITY CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL: 28
The Eagles traveled to Unity Christian for a well fought game against the Crusaders. The first quarter, the Eagles struggled to score both from the floor and the free throw line, ending with a score of 8 - 1 in favor of the home team. In the second quarter, however, the tempo shifted in Grand Rapids Christian's favor. Full court defense and fast breaks put the Eagles in command with a score of 15 - 10.
The second half was a back and forth affaire with both teams pressuring full court. Entering into the final minute, Unity Christian capitalized on their trips to the free throw line giving them their first lead since the first quarter, which ended up as the final score, 28-26.
Paris Rodgers played a big role gathering rebounds, steals, and scoring 9 points. Katelyn LaRue also scored 12 points for the Eagles.
