In the middle of a three game road stretch, the Eagles battled for an overtime victory over a tough Forest Hills Northern squad. Grand Rapids Christian held the lead for nearly the entire game until the fourth quarter when the Huskies tied it up. Northern had the last possession in regulation, but strong team defense held fast, not allowing a shot. That great defense persisted into the overtime, where the Eagles held the Huskies scoreless. It was Lydia Sall who scored the winning basket and Paris Rodgers sealed it with a free throw with 2 seconds left.
The Eagles are back on the road tonight at Forest Hills Eastern for the their final game of the week before returning home next Tuesday against Wayland.
