JV Eagles Rebound With Win over FHN

FOREST HILLS NORTHERN HIGH: 25
It was a quick turnaround after a tough loss last night for Grand Rapids Christian, but the Eagles came to play. It was a rematch against Forest Hills Northern that saw the Eagles win a close one in overtime; tonight was different. The teams were deadlocked at 7 after the first quarter, but then the Eagles made a run at the end of the half to go up 19-15. They didn't look back after that.
The Huskies came out in a zone in the second half and the home team capitalized to the tune of 11 points in the third quarter. The Eagles defense once again tightened up holding Northern to only one second half field goal.
Grand Rapids Christian had multiple steals by Alana and Kayla Lyons as well as Kailynn Grieve. Lydia Sall put together a great game with 10 points and cleaning the glass throughout the game.
The Eagles return home Tuesday to start the second round of conference match-ups beginning with Thornapple-Kellogg.
