On a 38 degree and rainy day, your JV Eagles picked up their first win against West Ottawa 22-1! Seniors Ally Samuels and Bree Lane, Sophomore Jordyn Jones, and Freshmen Ava Leder, Lila Jabara and Makena Nyhuis all found their way to the goal to score. Junior Jaline Henderson earned our Ground Hog award with her talent of scooping those ground balls. Sophomore Jordyn Jones is our LAX sister of the game as a consistent attacker and setting up her teammates well to score. Meg Griffin earns our Defender of the game, as she battled well to keep Ottawa from getting into scoring positions. Our Queen of the Game is Ava Leder for willingly playing both mid and attack throughout the game and her positive attitude. Lastly, a one time award for this game of the Positive Penguin goes to Destiny Singleton who, despite being injured and unable to play, stood on the sideline through the entire game in terrible weather to cheer her team on to a win.
