Grand Rapids Christian JV Girls Lacrosse fell to Mattawan 2-16. Sophomore Jaline Henderson earned the Defender of the Game award for her tenacity and quick thinking as she ran the field protecting the ball. Seniors Ally Samuels and Bree Lane were our Queens of the game for their amazing leadership, encouragement, quick thinking and direction on the field. Freshman Makena Nyhuis kept at it, scooping ground balls in the tall grass of the field earning her the groundhog award. Positive Penguins Meg Griffin and Destiny Singleton, although out on injuries, supported and cheered their team on from the sidelines. Thank you to our fans for your support! It was a tough loss for the Eagles JV Girls but they play again on Monday May 8th against Hudsonville. Please note our schedule change, JV plays at 7 pm while Varsity plays at 5:30pm. Go Eagles!
