The freshman volleyball team won the Covenant Christian Invitational on Saturday. The Eagles started strong by winning their pool beating Newaygo (25-6, 25-5, and 25-7) and Covenant Christian (25-12, 25-17, and 25-22). The girls then won their first game against Lakewood in the gold bracket (25-11 and 25-16) to put them in the finals against Hamilton. The Eagles fought back after an early lead from Hamilton to take the first set 26-24. They carried that momentum into the second set to win it 25-10 and take first place in the tournament.
