Girls Varsity Track vs. MHSAA State Finals

The Eagles finished 7th, with 22.5 points in the MHSAA finals Saturday at Forest Hills Eastern. Represented the Eagles were 12 girls. Ife Ayoola finished in 15th place in the shot put. The 4x100 meter relay team of Alayna McGowan, Paige Ferwerda, Marie Line Henderson, and Allie Groenenboom finished 21st. Payton Holtz finished 11th in the 800 meter run. Naomi Nelson took 12th in the 3200 meter run. The 4 x 800 team of Ellie Scholma, Anna Triezenberg, Sarah Timmer, and Payton Holtz took 9th, narrowly missing all-state by less than 1 second.
The Eagles scoring all came from just two girls. Rowan Cebulski was all-state in incredibly 3 events! She was 8th in the pole vault, 6th in the 100 hurdles, and 4th in the high jump. Natalie VanOtteren took 5th in the 1600 and then took 1st in the 3200!
