FOREST HILLS CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL: 9
The Eagles Boys Bowling team slipped past a surging Forest Hills Rangers team. Our Eagles jumped to an early 4 point lead taking the first baker game. However, the Rangers surged back taking the second baker and baker total to give them the lead 4-6. Some strong play in the first regular game by Zeke Herema shooting a very impressive 279 and Dream Kwon with a 203 help the Eagles take the lead back 11-8. At the start of the second regular game, the Rangers were shooting well and the Eagles struggled to get the pins to fall despite good shots. About mid-game, the Eagles found their marks and winning the match in a bit of a nail biters. Nice recovery by Luke Harlow shooting 190, Jerry LaRue with a 219, Levi Herrema shooting a great 236. It was a close match all the way, but the bouys went on to win 21-9. Way to stick with it boys.
