Girls Varsity Bowling finish 3rd in Zeeland Baker Tournament

The Eagles Girls Bowling team had a strong showing during the Zeeland Bowling Tournament this past Saturday. Our Eagles girls won 6 of the 10 seeding matches adding an additional 120 bonus pins. Their play resulted in a #4 seeding in match play. During quarter finals, the girls found themselves behind after the first game. The girls battled back to be within 20 pins entering the final frame needing a perfect 10th frame to advance. Ruth Diepstra delivered just what the girls needed shooting a Turkey in the 10th to move on to the semi finals. During the semi finals the girls met up against a strong Zeeland Girls Team. Zeeland squeaked out the win over our Eagles by a mere couple pins. Zeeland went on to win the tournament and our Eagles Girls finished 3rd. Way to stay at it girls.
