Eagles Lose: -
The Eagles finished 3rd in the MHSAA finals Friday. The top five Eagles were Madelyn Frens in 3rd, Olivia Waalkes in 23rd, Natalie Van Otteren in 33rd, Adia Sikkema in 47th, and Lily Teitsma in 99th. Madelyn and Oliviua earned all state. Madelyn, Olivia, and Lily earned academic all state. Complete results can be found at athletic.net

Eagles Lose: -
The Eagles finished first in the regional meet at Otsego Saturday. They now travel to the MHSAA final Friday. Pacing the Eagles, and winning her third straight regional, was Madelyn Frens. She was followed by Olivia Waalkes in 4th, Natalie VanOtteren in 5th, Adia Sikkema in 6th, and Lily Teitsma in 22nd. Complete race results are at athletic.net

Eagles Lose: -
The Eagles took first in the MHSAA pre-regional meet Friday at South Chrisrtian. The Eagles swept the top three spots over the muddy course when Natalie VanOtteren, Olivia Waalkes, ans Adia Sikkema went wire to wire 1, 2, and 3. Team mates Lily Teitsma and Katelyn LaRue took 9th and 11th to round out the Eagle scorers.  The Eagles now travel to the regional finals on Saturday at Otsego. The Eagles finished second in the Black Division at the County Meet Saturday. Top five scorers were Katlyn LaRue in 5th, Ava Tatko in 7th, Anna Lindstrom in 9th, Jenna Pegman in 10th, and Sammy Bishop in 11th. The Eagles finished first in the Blue Division led by Anna Triezenberg in 3rd, Allie Groenenboom in 4th, Robyn Tatko in 7th, HannahGrace Wildschut in 9th, and Kiersten Schmitt in 10th. Eagles Lose: -
The Eagles finished second in the final OK White jamboree. Madelyn Frens took over first with 500 meters to go and never looked back to win. Natalie VanOtteren was 6th, Olivia Waalkes 11th, Adia Sikkema 17th, and Lily Teitsma 20th for the Eagles. Madelyn, Natalie, Olivia, and Adia all made the all-conference team. Naomi Nelson earned honorable mention although sidelined with an injury the final two league meets.

The Eagle JV's lost to EGR Tuesday at Gainey. Top five scorers for the Eagles were Sammy Bishop in 3rd, Jenna Pegman in 4th, Haily Mc Bride in 10th, Carly Michele in 11th, and Robyn Tatko in 12th. Complete race results can be found at athletic.net

The Eagles finished second in a Tri-Meet Saturday at Gainey. Calvin Christian won with 17 points, followed by the Eagles with 39, and Potters House with 81. The top five Eagles were Ava Tatko in 4th, Payton Holtz in 7th, Sammy Bishop in 8th, Jenna Pegman in 9th, and Carly Michele in 11th. Complete results can be found at athletic.net

The Eagles finished 2nd Wednesday at Byron Center. Top 5 scoring runners for the Eagles were Madelyn Frens in 2nd, Natalie VanOtteren in 8th, Adia Sikkema in 14th, Olivia Waalkes in 15th, and Katelyn LaRue in 24th. The Eagles return to Byron Center next week in the league final.

The Eagles finished 2nd in the Otsego Elite Invite Saturday. Although putting 3 runners in the top 6, the Eagles still finished 2nd to EGR, who put 3 runners in the top 4. Leading the way for the team, and first overall was Madeline Frens in 17:57. Natalie VanOtteren was 5th in 18:57 (PR ), followed by Olivia Waalkes 6th in 19:05. Adia Sikkema ran a 19:31 PR. Lili Teitsma had a huge seasons best time of 19:53, followed by Katelyn LaRue in 20:40 and Ava Tatko in 20:59 The Eagle JV's also finished 2nd. The first four Eagles all ran PR times. Payton Holtz ran 20:29, followed by Anna Lindstrom in 20:55, Sarah Timmer in 20:56, and Sammy Bishop in 21:36.  Complete results at athletic.net

The Eagles took first Wednesday afternoon in OK White JV jamboree # 2. Freshman Anna Lindstrom led from the start to take first in 21:27. The Eagles also took 2nd and 3rd when sophmore Sarah Timmer and junior Jenna Pegman ran 21:31 and 21:38.

The Eagles ran three different varsity teams Saturday at Gainey, The Eagles took first in the Eagle division, with Madelyn Frens, Natalie VanOtteren, Olivia Waalkes, Adia Sikkema, and Lili Teitsma. comprimised the scoring five for the team.  In the Cougar division, the Eagles took sixth. Katelyn LaRue led the team, followed by Anna Lindstrom, Payton Holtz, Sarah Timmer, and Jenna Pegman.  The Eagles took 4th in the Gainey division. Lilianna Wilsterman and Allie Groenenboom were seperated by just seconds to lead the Eagles, followed by Anna Triezenberg, Robyn Tatko, and HannahGrace Wildschut.

The Eagles lost in a dual meet with South Christian Saturday, but had many PR's and SB's on the cool morning. Running their fastest race of the season were Kaitlyn Aupperlee, Natalie Borst, Allie Groenenboom, Sara Huyser, Gigi Jones, Anna Lindstrom, Haily McBride, Carly Michele, Grace Padilla, Jenna Pegman, Kiersten Schmitt, Nadia Schoon, Robyn Tatko, Sarah Timmer, HannahGrace Wildschut, and Liliana Wilstermann. The Eagles were led by Freshman Anna Lindstrom in 5th, followed by Sophmores Sarah Timmer and Katelyn LaRue in 7th and 8th. The Eagles travel to Lowell Wednesday to compete in OK White jamboree # 2.

The Eagles finished 2nd to EGR in the first league meet of the season. Junior Madelyn Frens was able to come from behind in the final 800 meters and notched a great win running 18:09. Finishing in 8th and 9th were Natalie VanOtteren and Olivia Waalkes. Adia Sikkema was 14th, with Lili Teitsma and Naomi Nelson just seconds behind in 18th and 19th. The Eagles run at home again on Saturday in a dual with South Christian.

The Eagles took first place in the Christian Schools Meet at South Saturday. Taking first overall was Madelyn Frens, followed by Freshman teammate Natalie VanOtteren. The Eagles also placed 4th, Olivia Waalkes, 6th, Adia Sikkema, and 7th, Naomi Nelson. There were dozens of PR's or season's best times on what is normally a slow course.  Sarah Timmer and Haily McBride went 1st and 2nd in the JV race.

The Eagles travelled to beautiful Benzie and finished second in their session with 55 points, trailing only OK White rival East Grand Rapids. Madelyn Frens ran a great 18:10 to finish second. Freshmen Adia Sikkema and Natalie VanOtteren smashed their PR's running 19:33 and 19:35 respectively. Sneaking in between them was senior Olivia Waalkes. Just 20 seconds later in 19:54 was yet another Freshman, Naomi Nelson. The Eagles will return to action Wednesday, September 9 at Gainey.

The Eagles opened up their new season with an impressive win over last years 4th place team in the state, Forest Hills Eastern. The Eagles placed 6 girls in the top 7 in the race. Junior Madelyn Frens was first, followed by Senior Olivia Waalkes in 2nd. Three of the next for Eagles were Freshmen, in Adia Sikkema in 4th, Natalie VanOtteren in 5th, and Naomi Nelson in 7th. In 6th place for the Eagles was Junior Ava Tako. Senior Sammy Bishop rounded out the Eagles varsity by finishing 10th. To watch the race, go to face book page Eagles XC Fan Club 2020.
