Eagles Lose: -
The Eagles take first in the MHSAA state finals and capture their 7th state championship in cross country. The Eagles, ranked number one in every poll this season, finished a nearly perfect season. The teams only meet they didn't win was the County Meet where they rested 7 members of the varsity team. The team won the Benzie Invitational, the Christian Schools invite, the Ottawa Hills invite, the Otsego invite, the Portage invite, the OK White Championship, the Allendale regional, and now the MHSAA finals at Michigan International Speedway. Earning all state for the Eagles were senior Natalie VanOtteren, and sophomores Lilah Poel and Ellie Scholma. Seniors  Payton Holtz, Naomi Nelson, and Adia Sikkema all ran great at the finals, as did Freshman Lucy Waalkes. Payton narrowly missed earning all-state by one place. The Eagles are grateful for the large fan based at MIS. See you in 2024!!
