Boys Varsity Cross Country vs. Multiple Opponents

Eagles Lose: -
The Eagles finished sixth in the state Saturday, just a few points out of fourth. The race for was so close, we actually dropped a place from fifth to sixth on the way home. Two boys earned all state on Saturday. They were seniors Jack Luymes and Ethan Wilstermann. Also running their final race as an Eagle were seniors Graham Kort, Ben Peterson, and Jonathan Shippert. Two other eagles  at the final will return though. They are junior Jack Peterson and sophomore Ben Zwart.

Eagles Lose: -
The Eagles finished in first place at the regional Saturday in Allendale. Five Eagles earned "all regional" by placing in the top 15. They were Seniors Jack Luymes (5th), Ethan Wilstermann (6th), and Graham Kort (8th), as well as Junior Jack Peterson (13th), and Sophomore Ben Zwart (14th). Seniors Ben Peterson and Jonathan Shippert were 16th and 18th. The Eagles compete in the finals next Saturday at MIS.

A very close meet came down to kicks and none more important than the Eagles fourth and fifth runners Jack Peterson and Ben Zwart holding off the fourth and fifth runners of East Grand Rapids to secure the victory. Five Eagles earned first team all conference. They are Seniors Jack Luymes, Ethan Wilstermann, and Graham Kort, Junior Jack Peterson, and Sophomore Ben Zwart. The Eagles compete in the regional meet next Saturday in Allendale.

Eagles Lose: -
The Eagles finished 11th at the Kent County Meet running at the rain soaked Gainey course. Persistant rain over the last few weeks, and then a good soaking on Friday, left lots of areas of standing water on the Gainey forcing several areas to be rerouted. Top five runners for the Eagles were Junior Jon LaRue, Sophmores Jasper Casamento and Jack Nelson, Junior Henry Peterson, and Senior Adam Baker. The Eagles head to Middleville Tuesday to run in the conference finals. Varsity races at 4:30.

Eagles Lose: -
The Eagles finished 4th in their division 2 race. There were 8 of the states top ten ranked teams in attendance. The varsity team were led by seniors Jack Luymes and Ethan Wilstermann. The JV race had 7 Eagles set new PR's on the day. They were Freshmen Blake Bouwman, Seth VanOss, Reuben Weiring, and Nick Zwiers, Sophomore Jack Nelson, Juniors Sam Bollman, David Guarizo, and Henry Peterson, and Senior Adam Baker. The Eagles will host the County Meet on Saturday at the Gainey.

Eagles Lose: -
The Eagles avenged a loss to EGR Wednesday by beating the Pioneers and everyone else in the OK Gold. The Eagles are now tied for first with East. The title will be decided in 13 days, so stay tuned. The race at South was so muddy and water logged, that one puddle on the course was 5 feet deep forcing the kids to go around it. Senior Ethan Wilstermann lead the Eagles in 4th place followed by Jack Luymes in 5th, Graham Kort in 8th, Jack Peterson in 9th, and Ben Zwart in 10th.

Eagles Lose: -
The Eagles finished second at a very competetive Otsego Invite. Seniors Jack Luymes and Ethan Wilstermann both ran in the 16:20's, followed closely by Senior Graham Kort. Sophmore Ben Zwart PR'ed breaking 17 minutes for the first time by running 16:59.  The Eagle JV's were able to run strong and win their race with 49 points. Sophmore Jasper Casamento and Freshman Tem Warners finished dead together to pace the team. They were followed closely by Junior Jon LaRue,  Freshman Reuben Wiering, Sophomore Jack Nelson, Junior Henry Peterson, and Freshman Rowan Jansen.

Eagles Lose: -
The Eagles finished second the states topped ranked boys team Otsego Saturday at The Gainey. Although it was again very warm, the Eagles had 4 runners run their best times this season. They were Ewan Jolliffe, Jonathan Shippert, Caleb Westhouse, and Ben Zwart.

Eagles Lose: -
The Eagles lost a squeaker to East Grand Rapids Wednesday night at South Christian, 36-37. Jack Luymes was the top Eagle in 4th place, with 4 others also in the top 10.  Four Eagles were able to PR in the heat, Senoir Adam Baker, Freshman Rowan Jansen, Sophomores Henson Kunheng and Jack Nelson.

Eagles Lose: -
The Eagles finished 26th in the Elite division at Michigan State Friday afternoon. Senior Jack Luymes lead the way for the Eagles followed by classmates Graham Kort, Ethan Willstermann, and Ben Peterson. Earning top 7 for the first time was Sophomore Jasper Casamento. Predicted storms force the cancellation of the JV races.

Eagles Lose: -
The Eagles took first place in one of Michigan's longest running meet, the Christian Schools Meet at South Christian. With 4 runners packed together in places 4, 5, 6, and 8, the Eagles easily topped the field. Those top 4 runners were Jack Luymes, Ethan Wilstermann, Graham Kort, and Jack Peterson. Sophomore Ben Zwart had a great race as the Eagles fifth runner and 12th overall. Ben Peterson was 19th and Jon Larue 32nd for the Eagles.  The Eagle JV's swept the top 3 spots and had 7 0f the top 9 runners to easily win. Their score of 18 was well ahead of 2nd place Covenant Christian. The top three Eagles were Jonathan Shippert, Tem Warners, and Jasper Casamento.

Eagles Lose: -
The boys team traveled to Benzie and won the large school division with 86 points. Senior Jack Luymes paced the Eagles with a PR of 16:13. Close behind him were Jack Peterson in 16:39, Graham Kort in 16:40, and Ethan Wilstermann in 16:46. Ben Peterson was the Eagles final scoring member with a time of 17:17.  The Eagle JV team took fifth place. Top 5 Eagles were Freshmen Reuben Wiering and Tem Warners, followed by Andrew Huyser, Henry Peterson and Ben Tuit.
