Eagles Lose: 2 - 4
Covenant Christian pulled away late in a 4-2 victory over the Eagles. Headed into the bottom of the 5th the Eagles were tied 2-2. Defensively the Eagles let some opportunities for outs get away from them, and Covenant managed to bring in two runs to take the lead. Abbe Diemer toed the mound only giving up 4 hits, 2 walks, and 3 strikeouts.  The Eagles struggled to find the holes and get things going in the first game at the plate only having 3 hits by Anna VanHeulen, Gabi Mora, and Lauren Holkeboer.

Eagles Lose: 2 - 11
The Eagles struggled to get things going offensively and dropped game two 11-2 to Covenant Christian. Jalsene McWilliams toed the mound for 3 innings. She gave up 5 hits, 1 walk, and 1 strikeout. Rae Garcia came in for a change of pace for the next 4 innings. She gave up 6 hits, 4 walks, and 5 strikouts.  At the plate the Eagles only collected 4 hits from Anna VanHeulen, Jaslene McWilliams, Gabi Mora, and Lauren Holkeboer.  The Eagles head into Districts on Saturday, June 3 at Unity Christian. Their first game is at 11:30 AM vs Lee.

Eagles Lose: 2 - 13
The Eagles dropped game one to Byron Center 2-13. Abbe Diemer had the start on the mound. She total pitched 3 innings, giving up only 4 hits, 2 earned runs, 1 walk, and 1 strikeout. Jaslene McWilliams came in giving up 2 hits, 3 earned runs and 1 walk. Lauren Holkeboer also took a turn on the mound. She gave up 7 hits, 3 earned runs, and 2 walks.  At the plate the Eagles were disciplined and made their way on base off of 4 hits and 5 walks. Leading the offense with 1 hit, a double, that brought in 2 runs was Abbe Diemer. Jaslene McWilliams, Greta Vance, and Ellie VandeGriend each had 1 hit.

Eagles Lose: 5 - 19
The Eagles dropped game two to Byron Center 19-5. Abbe Diemer started things off on the mound. She pitched a total of 3.2 innings against the bulldogs. Diemer gave up 18 hits, 12 earned runs, 1 walk, and 2 strikeouts. Rae Garcia pitched 2.1 innings and gave up 2 hits, 1 earned run, 1 walk, and 2 strikeouts. Ellie VandeGriend also toed the mound for the Eagles. She gave up 3 hits and 2 earned runs. At the plate the Eagles bats did some work and collected 11 hits. Lauren Holkeboer led the team with two hits, one single and a double that brought in 1 run. Each also having 2 hits were Jaslene McWilliams, Greta Vance, and Julia Geesin. Gabi Mora, Abbe Diemer, and Ellie VandeGriend each had 1 hit. The Eagles next game is at Comstock Park this Thursday, May 25 at 4:15 PM.

Eagles Lose: -
The Eagles first game in the Marti Beckering tournament hosted by Ottawa Hills was against Kalamazoo Loy Norrix. The Eagles earned the win 18-6 by stringing together 20 hits. Abbe Diemer earned the win on the mound after just 6 innings. She gave up 6 hits, 5 earned runs, 2 walks, and 2 strikeouts.  At the plate everyone in the lineup earned their way on base with at least one hit. Leading the team was Jaslene McWilliams going 4/4 with 1 single and 3 doubles that brought in 4 runs. Anna VanHeulen, Greta Vance, and Lauren Hokeboer each had 3 hits. Julia Geesin and Ellie VandeGriend each had 2 hits while Rae Garcia, Gabi Mora, and Abbe Diemer each had 1 hit.

Eagles Lose: -
The Eagles second game in the Marti Beckering tournament hosted by Ottawa Hills was against Lansing Co-op. The Eagles defeated Lansing co-op 12-2 and became tournament champions!  Jaslene McWilliams earned the win on the mound. She battled strong and held Lansing co-op to only 4 hits, 1 earned run, 7 walks, and 15 strikeouts.  At the plate the Eagles collected 16 hits, led by Jaslene McWilliams going 4/5 with 1 single, 2 doubles, a triple, and 2 RBIs. Greta Vance, Lauren Holkeboer, Abbe Diemer, Julia Geesin, and Ellie VandeGriend each had 2 hits. Rae Garcia and Gabi Mora each had 1 hit.  The Eagles next game is Monday, May 22 at Byron Center starting at 4:15 PM.

The Eagles dropped game one to GR Catholic Central 0-10. Abbe Diemer started things off on the mound. She lasted 3 innings, giving up 11 hits, 8 earned runs and 2 walks. Jaslene McWilliams came in for relief for 1 inning and gave up 1 hit and 0 earned runs.  At the plate the Eagles were unable to adjust and only had 3 hits. Ellie VandeGriend led the team with 2 hits, a single and a double. Julia Geesin was the only other hit for the Eagles.

Eagles Lose: 3 - 18
The Eagles struggled defensively and dropped game two 3-18. Rae Garcia started things off on the mound. She lasted 1 inning and gave up 4 hits, 3 earned runs, 5 walks, and 2 strikeouts. Jaslene McWilliams came in for relief and lasted 1.1 innings. She gave up 2 hits, 2 earned runs, and 2 walks. Lauren Holkeboer was the last pitcher for the Eagles. She lasted 1.2 innings and gave up 2 hits, 1 earned run, and had 1 strikeout.  At the plate the Eagles collected 7 hits, led by Greta Vance with 2 hits. Each having one hit were Jaslene McWilliams, Gabi Mora, Lauren Holkeboer, Abbie Diemer, and Ellie VandeGriend. The Eagles play next in the Ottawa Hills tournament at Gainey. Their first game starts at 9:00 AM vs Kalamazoon Loy Norix.

Eagles Win: 18 - 16
The Eagles showed up ready to battle game two, earning the win in extra innings 18-16. Going into the bottom of the 6th the Eagles had an 11- 7 lead. Forest Hills rallied and scored 7, however, the Eagles did not let that stop them and tied it up in the top of the 7th. Playing tough defense the Eagles held off Forest Hills from scoring in the bottom of the 7th and went into extra innings. In the top of the 8th, the Eagles pushed their offense to score 4 more runs by Jaslene McWilliams, Maren Leech, Anna VanHeulen, and Karina Mora. With the score 18-14 going into the bottom of the 8th the Eagles just needed 3 outs for the win. Forest Hills managed to bring two more girls in, however, defensive plays by Greta Vance, Karina Mora, and Abbe Diemer sealed the deal for the Eagles. On the mound the Eagles started off with Jaslene McWilliams, she pitched a total of 5 innings giving up 9 hits, 4 earned runs, 5 walks, and 2 strikeouts. Lauren Holkeboer pitched 1 innings, giving up 5 hits and 3 earned runs. Abbe Diemer also toed the mound for 2 innings giving up 4 hits, 4 earned runs, and 1 walk.  At the plate the Eagles racked up 13 hits to generate their 18 runs. Lauren Holkeboer led the Eagles going 3 for 5 with 2 singles, 1 in the park homerun, scoring 3 runs, and 3 RBIs. Each having two hits were Anna VanHeulen, Jaslene McWilliams, Karina Mora, and Abbe Diemer. Greta Vance and Gabi Mora each had 1 hit.  Congratulations to our 5 seniors (Julia Geesin, Gabi Mora, Abbe Diemer, Greta Vance, and Lauren Holkeboer) on their last home game!

Eagles Lose: 3 - 22
The Eagles had a tough time keeping up with Forest Hills offense dropping game one 22-3. The Eagles were out hit 16-3. Abbe Diemer started off on the mound, lasting 1 inning. She gave up 9 hits, 6 earned runs, 2 walks, and 2 strikeouts. Rae Garcia and Laurent Holeboer came in for releif. Together they gave up 7 more hits and 12 earned runs.  At the plate the Eagles only managed 3 hits by Rae Garcia, Greta Vance, and Lauren Holkeboer.

Eagles Lose: 2 - 14
The Eagles failed to take advantage of key situations, dropping game one 2-14. Abbe Diemer toed the mound and lasted 5 innings. She gave up 13 hits, 5 earned runs, 2 walks, and had 3 strikeouts.  At the plate the Eagles had 3 hits, led by Rae Garcia with a triple to right center. Greta Vance and Julia Geesin each also had one hit. Rae Garcia and Lauren Holkeboer were the only 2 Eagles to find their way in to score. The Eagles failed to take advantage of the 10 runners they left stranded.

Eagles Lose: 4 - 19
The Eagles came out strong putting two runs on the board in the first and second inning each, however, they were unable to keep up with the Sailors bats, dropping game two 4-19.  Rae Garcia started things off on the mound, facing 7 batters before the Sailors picked her up. She gave up 4 hits, 6 earned runs, and 2 walks. Lauren Holkeboer came in for releif, lasting 1.2 innings, giving up 7 hits, 8 earned runs, and 1 strikeout. Abbe Diemer finished it up in the bottom of the 3rd giving up 2 hits, 3 earned runs, and 1 strikeouts. At the plate the Eagles  has 3 hits, led by Lauren Holkeboer with a triple to right center, scoring 2 runs. Jalsene McWilliams and Greta Vance also had 1 hit each.  The Eagles next game is Monday vs Forest Hills Co-op starting at 4:15 PM. Please join us to honor our seniors Abbe Diemer, Greta Vance, Lauren Holkeboer, Julia Geesin, and Gabi Mora in between games.

The Eagles struggled to play their game versus Byron Center's JV and lost 11-0 after 4.5 innings. Abbe Diemer toed the mound. She gave up 13 hits, 6 earned runs, and had 2 strikeouts. At the plate the Eagles only had one hit by Abbe Diemer, a double to right center.

The Eagles dropped a close one 10-8, unable to capitalize on key situations leaving 7 runners stranded. Rae Garcia battled on the mound giving up 9 hits, 6 earned runs, 9 walks, and 12 strikeouts.  At the plate the Eagles got things going offensively tallying up 7 hits, forcing 3 pitching changes. Leading the offense was Greta Vance with 2 singles, an RBI, and a walk. Abbe Diemer had her 3rd homerun of the season to left center, scoring 3 runs. Each having 1 hit were Rae Garcia, Gabi Mora, Lauren Holkeboer, and Karina Mora.  The Eagles next game is this Saturday, May 13 vs South Christian at Cornerstone University. Game one starts at 10:00 AM.

Eagles Lose: 3 - 18
The Eagles dropped game one 3-18 after 6 innings. Going into the top of the 5th it was 3-1, Lowell holding onto the lead. However, Lowell racked up 5 runs in the 5th and 10 runs in the 6th that the Eagles could not come back from. Abbe Diemer started things off on the mound. She lasted 4 innings, only giving up 6 hits and 5 earned runs. Rae Garcia came in for relief and lasted 1 inning. She gave up 3 hits, 6 earned runs. Lauren Holkeboer finished things off on the mound lasting 1 inning, giving up 3 hits, 3 earned runs, and had 1 strikeout.  At the plate the Eagles had 8 hits. Abbe Diemer and Rae Garcia led the offense both having 2 hits. Diemer had a single and a double, while Garcia had two singles. Each having one hit and an RBI were Lauren Holkeboer and Julia Geesin. Ellie VandeGriend and Greta Vance also each had one hit.

The Eagles dropped game two 3-13. Ellie VandeGriend toed the mound for 5 batters before giving up 3 earned runs off of 2 hits. Abbe Diemer stepped back up to the mound for another 2.1 innings. She gave up 3 earned runs off of 9 hits, and had 1 strikeout. Rae Garcia finished it up giving up 1 earned run off of 2 hits, and had 1 strikeout.  At the plate the Eagles had 9 hits. Julia Geesin and Ellie VandeGriend led the offense both having 2 hits. Each having one hit were Rae Garcia, Keira Porte, Greta Vance, Lauren Holkeboer, and Abbe Diemer. Anna VanHeulen had a sacrifice bunt in the top of the 2nd to advance Keira Porte, who eventually scored 1 of the 3 runs for the Eagles.  The Eagles next game is at Byron Center vs their JV team at 4:00 PM this Thursday, May 11.

The Eagles dropped game one to Greenville 0-5. Abbe Diemer held strong on the mound giving up 8 hits, over 6 innings, and had 5 strikeouts. On offense the Eagles struggled to find the holes in their defense and were unable to come up with a hit. Defensively, the team held strong against a tough offense, forcing them to earn all 5 of their runs.

Coming in for relief was Ellie VandeGriend. She gave up 6 hits, 5 earned runs, and had 1 strikeout. Lauren Holkeboer finished things off giving up 0 hits, 0 earned runs, and had 1 strikeout.  At the plate the Eagles again struggled to find holes in their defense and left 4 runners stranded. The team had 3 hits total, led by Greta Vance who had 2, and Abbe Diemer with one.  The Eagles next game is at home vs Lowell on Monday, May 8 starting at 4:15 PM.

The Eagles earned their first win of the season over Lee 12-1. Abbe Diemer earned the win on the mound. She allowed 3 hits and 1 run over 5 innings, striking out 10. At the plate the Eagles bats were hot with 9 hits. Greta Vance and Karina Mora led the offense, each having 2 hits. Keira Porte had 1 hit, a triple to the left center fence and Ellie VandeGriend had one hit, a double to right center. Each also having one hit were Lauren Holkeboer, Abbe Diemer, and Julia Geesin.

The Eagles earned the win over Lee 20-0 in game two. Rae Garcia commanded the mound and earned the win. She allowed 2 hits and 0 runs over 4 innings, striking out 9. At the plate the Eagles bats were hot, racking up 20 hits. The offense was led by Abbe Diemer, going 4/4 with a triple, 2 doubles, a single, and 4 RBIs. Lauren Holkeboer and Greta Vance each had 3 hits, both girls having 2 triples and a single. Also having 3 hits each were Rae Garcia and Keira Porte. Julia Geesin and Anna VanHeulen each had 1 hit, both doubles. Ellie VandeGriend and Karina Mora each had 1 hit.  The Eagles next game is at home vs Greenville on Monday, May 1 starting at 4:15 PM.

Eagles Lose: 8 - 13
Game one vs Covenant Christian was an offensive battle. The Eagles took the lead in the top of the 4th 7-5 off of hits by Rae Garcia and Greta Vance. However, Covenant came right back and tied it up in the bottom of the 4th. The Eagles went 3 and out in the top of the 5th and then gave up 5 runs to covenant that they were unable to come back from. The Eagles lost game one 8-13.  Abbe Diemer started things off in the circle. She surrendered 10 runs on 13 hits over 4 1/3 innings. She had 5 strikeouts. Rae Garcia came in for relief, giving up 3 runs on 4 hits and 1 strikeout.  At the plate the Eagles tallied up 7 hits. The offense was led by Jaslene McWilliams with 3 hits, 1 of them a double. Rae Garcia had one hit, a double that brought in 1 run. Julia Geesin, Greta Vance, and Ellie VandeGriend each had one hit.

Eagles Lose: 6 - 13
The Eagles dropped game two vs Covenant 6-13, unable to maintain the offensive matchup at the plate and defensively missing out on a few opportunities.  Lauren Holkeboer started the game on the mound. She allowed 4 hits and 6 runs over 1 1/3 innings, striking out 2. Ellie VandeGriend came in for relief and lasted 3 2/3 innings. She allowed 10 hits and 7 runs, striking out 3. Jaslene McWilliams was the final Eagle on the mound that faced 3 batters and did not give up a hit or allow a run. At the plate the Eagles had 6 hits. McWilliams again led the Eagles with 2 hits, 1 double and an RBI. Each having one hit were Keira Porte, Greta Vance, Abbe Diemer, and Ellie VandeGriend. Congratulations Abbe Diemer on her first career homerun! It was a 3 run homerun in the top of the 5th.  The Eagles next game is at home vs Wyoming Lee HS April 26 at 4:00 PM.

Eagles Lose: 2 - 15
The Eagles started off strong scoring in the top of the first but were unable to keep up with Northview's offense losing game one 2-15. The Eagles mound was shared by Abbe Diemer, Jaslene McWilliams, Ellie VandeGriend, and Rae Garcia. Diemer faced 11 batters, gave up 5 hits and had 1 walk. McWilliams faced 9 batters, gave up 4 hits and 2 walks. VandeGriend faced 7 batters, gave up 2 hits and 1 walk. Garcia faced 8 batters, gave up 3 hits, 2 walks, and had 2 strikeouts. At the plate the Eagles tallied 4 hits with 2 runs. Abbe Diemer led the team with two hits, both doubles to right field that brought in 1 run. Each having on hit were Jaslene McWilliams and Greta Vance.   Game two vs Northview was postponed due to weather. The Eagles next game is against Convenant Christian this Saturday, April 22 at 9:00 AM at Covenant Christian High School.

Eagles Lose: 6 - 11
Eagles bats were strong against Kenowa Hills, but it wasn't enough dropping game one 6-11. Senior Abbe Diemer held strong on the mound, lasting all 7 innings. She allowed 6 runs on 8 hits, striking out 6 and no walks.  At the plate the Eagles racked up 8 hits. Senior Lauren Holkeboer and Sophomore Ellie VandeGriend led the offense each having two hits. Freshman Jaslene McWilliams, Diemer, Senior Greta Vance, and Sophomore Keira Porte each had one hit. Vance's and Porte's hits were doubles. Defensively the Eagles held strong, committing 0 errors.

Eagles Lose: 5 - 12
The Eagles battled in game two, however, it was difficult to keep up with the Kenowa Hills offense of 12 hits. The Eagles dropped game two 5-12.  Rae Garcia started things off on the mound. She lasted 2 innings, giving up 4 runs off of 4 hits. Jaslene McWilliams came in for relief and lasted 2 innings. She gave up 6 runs off of 4 hits. Ellie VandeGriend took the mound next lasting 2 innings. She held Kenowa to 2 runs off of 4 hits and had 1 strikeout. Abbe Diemer returned in the bottom of the 6th to close things out for the Eagles on the mound holding off anymore hits from Kenowa. At the plate the Eagles struggled to make adjustments, however, they still racked up 9 hits. Greta Vance and Diemer led the team with 2 hits each. Each having one hit were Garcia, McWilliams, Lauren Holkeboer, Julia Geesin, and VandeGriend.  The Eagles next game is their conference opener vs Northview on Monday, April 17.
