Ever since the summer going into my freshman year Madi has been one of the biggest role models in my life and I am constantly looking up to her. She has become like an older sister to me and I will never be able to thank her for the ways she has been there for me. Madi is one of the sweetest girls you will ever meet and can make anyone laugh in any situation. In both of the years I have gotten to play with Madi, she has been our team captain. She leads our team with passion, kindness, and enthusiasm every single day on and off the court, pushing every player to be their best. Madi, thank you for the endless car rides filled with laughter and gas station stops for Dr. Pepper with vanilla after practice. You have shown me what Eagle Volleyball is all about and you have left such a positive impact

Eagle fans, We recently had the special privilege of celebrating the contributions and accomplishments of our seniors on the Grand Rapids Christian Eagles Boys Varsity Soccer Team. We asked each of our Seniors parents to share some thoughts about their son. Will Bufalini Parents: Nathan and Jen BufaliniWillie B.--What a ride it has been watching you do what you love. At age 2, you told us you wanted to be a goalie. At age 14, you became a Grand Rapids Christian Eagle. Those decisions have had such a wonderful impact on our family. Soccer has taken us all over the country - turning your love of soccer into incredible memories for all of us. Soccer led you to Tim Howard, who was successful because of his differences and showed you a path to greatness. Soccer also brought you a sense of belonging and understanding that hard work pays off in all of the best ways. The MHSAA has done a great job of continuing to work to help find balance in athletics by creating breaks in the seasons for athletes and coaches to be with their families. We love working hard to develop our gifts but appropriate scope is important also. Summer Dead Week: June 30-July 7- this is the actual dead week where there is zero contact between players and coaches and no use of district facilities. Pre-Season Down Time: the week prior to each season there is "down time" where there are no open gyms or captains practices. Only 4-player workouts and conditioning are permitted. You can find our official athletics start dates for 2024-2025 here!

Boys Varsity Ice Hockey falls to Reeths-Puffer High School 5-7
Boys Varsity Ice HockeyThe Eagles hockey team dropped their record to 1-1 as they fell to the hands of the Reeths Puffer Rockets. The first period couldn’t have gone better as the Eagles jumped out to a two goal lead, both goals being scored on the PowerPlay. Dane Fitzgibbon opened the scoring with a blast from the wing reading the Reeths Puffer goalie up top. Andrew Shripka and Sam DeYoung assisted on the play. It was Fitzgibbon’s first career high school goal. Later in the period Cam Laufer scored off a pretty pass from Josh Hooper. The second period could not have started worse, as the Rockets scored three unanswered goals to take the lead, and the Eagles lost a key player with an injury. The Eagles responded with a natural hat-trick by Brody Baysore. Which would be three consecutive goals scored by one player. Two of Baysore goals came by way of assist from Hooper with Laufer getting a second assist. Baysore also scored on a penalty shot with a pretty back tow drag. The third period belo

Not much talk would have been about the Eagles who, despite playing beautiful football at times throughout the season, hadn’t put all three of offense, defense, and special teams together in several games. From their studio, the analysts wouldn’t have been able to hear the pads popping and Eagle Drumline surging during pregame warmup or the love from the team and fans as the senior players and cheerleaders and their families were celebrated before the game. On another windy day near the lakeshore, the Eagles capitalized on an early chance just 12 minutes into the match when Peter Borst found himself in behind the Falcon defense from a pinpoint cross towards the far post from fellow senior John Cassiday. Borst would show great composure as he took down the cross with a perfect first touch and forced the keeper to leave his line. Borst's finishing touch was just as brilliant, as he calmly slotted the ball past the keeper and into the net to give the Eagles an important early lead. The rest of the first half would be an up-and-down affair, with each team creating some half-chances.
